RITA ACKERMANN + HARMONY KORINE

ZERO IN  11.10.24 - 04.19.25

The Maria Leuff Foundation is pleased to present ZERO IN, an exhibition of 18 unique collaborative silkscreen prints and a single painting by Rita Ackermann and Harmony Korine.

"We usually get it in the first take when he is up and he’s more enthusiastic.  The more takes you take if somebody misses the line, the scene goes down and down and down and gets tiresome and they get tired. Well, there is an element of chance but I don’t think there is a nervousness in it. It always comes off and the act is after all are good and you know, they are pros and they will take advantage of any accident that happens. You know, that’s just luck, that's just occasionally get some luck in pictures. More occasionally you get bad luck if something happens that wasn’t premeditated.".

"I mean when it happens, photograph it! Like the scene in She Wore Yellow Ribbon. A terrific thunderstorm came up with lightning, flashing all over the skies and I said let’s shoot it! So we had the Calvary riding into the thunderstorm. Lightning, flashing and thunder rolling and everything else and made an interesting shot".
